Alright so this was the funnest comp that I have ever been to. The planning of this was in large part due to not just myself but to Dave Huddson. It was his idea to make this thing somewhat like the Asian X-games that made it the party that it ultimatly was. I couldn't have been more happy about the turn out. Everyone who came was supportive and imediatly fell into the sheer joy of the event.
The greatest problem of the night for me happened to be the Trapeze problem. I think I acutally won the most points on this problem, not for completion but for the greatest biff of the night. I failed so miserably, but had so much fun doing it that I had to fail miserably twice, just to prove to myself that I wasn't ready for that problem. I didn't care. It all just made me laugh. In the end the hard problems were balanced out with what I would call bonus points. If you had the ability to hold a handstand for 20 seconds you got an extra 20 point. The same went for hula hooping. At the end of the night when the points were counted I don't think anyone cared. There was pretty much something for everyone. For myself, I simply took home one of the greatest experiences the Chicago climbing comunity has ever given me. So thank you.
Cheers,
Megan
